The salary ( $110,000 - $120,000). The actual offer will be based on the individual’s qualifications.
Job Summary: Responsible for developing, analyzing, planning, and implementing supply chain solutions with the goal of improving efficiencies and reducing costs. Directs, plans, and manages distribution projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished within prescribed time frames and budgets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
• Develops and manages initiatives to drive improvements and move to world class operations within the supply chain.
• Plans project proposals to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
• Performs return on investment (ROI) analysis to determine viability and priority of pending supply chain projects. Recommends capital expenditures for acquisition of new equipment.
• Leads project teams and manages work plans for each phase of the project including time lines, risk management, and budget management.
• Provides direction for project personnel to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
• Confers and cooperates with all levels of operating management in formulating and developing detailed implementation plans for cost improvement projects.
• Responsible for on-going project status and risk management.
• Prepares project reports for management, clients, or others.
• Works with all distribution locations and cross functional teams to ensure process changes are successfully implemented. • Manages project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve issues and problems
• Submits recommendations for development of and compliance with logistics policies, procedures, and programs.
• Directs compilation and issuance of project timetables.
• Conducts field surveys to evaluate operations and recommend changes.
• Works with Distribution facilities and facilities management to define best practices
• Prepares recommendations for senior management evaluation.
• Prepares documentation, including SOP development modification for assigned projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
•1+ years’ experience with Labor Management System or RedPrairie experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of distribution and transportation processes.
• Effective communicator and ability to manage through influence.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects on time and budget.
• Strong team builder in working cross functionally.
• Lean Six sigma experience a plus.
• PMI certifications a plus
EDUCATION andor EXPERIENCE
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, business or another related area and 8 years field experience.
• 8 years project management experience.
• Successfully implemented several $2M + projects.
• Frequent overnight travel required (approx. 50%)
