The Comfort Group, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Manager to work full time at our Nashville location. The Comfort Group is a Mechanical Contracting Company that has been in business for over 50 years. Responsibilities: + Manage the organization and handling of material, equipment and other supplies needed for company projects. + Responsible for overseeing storage spaces, and inventories. + Keep documentation on project segments to determine the delivery and receipt of all materials on a job site. This includes checking and marking material for coordinated, on time deliveries of material to the job sites for specific areas of work. + Coordinate closely with Project Managers and Field managers for the delivery of materials. + Manage material and equipment daily in a changing environment. + Prepare job site deliveries for staging in different floors and areas onsite. + Maintain records of deliveries in real time and assist in keeping proper inventory documented continuously. + Assist team in loading and unloading of materials and equipment as needed. + Support light assembly of some materials when received at job site. + Communicate with Purchasing on delivery issues i.e., wrong products, incorrect quantities, delays, etc. + Present data to all levels of organization on inventories and logistics efficiency. + Create vendor performance scorecard for each job. + Operate material handling equipment as needed. + Other duties as assigned. Education and Training Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree in the same related fields with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of job experience in material management preferred. + Professional communication and negotiation skills + Analytical and detail oriented to expertly plan and organize. + Ability to work in a warehouse environment and on job sites with exposure to weather.
