Logistics Manager

As the Logistics manager here at Honeywell, you will leverage your experience as a transformational change agent to identify and execute on process improvements inside the shipping, receiving/inspection, and stockroom areas eliminating waste, driving significant productivity savings, and adherence to the Materials Management Policy.
You will report directly to the Sr. Plant Director, and you’ll work out of our Urbana, OH location.
In this role, you will lead a team of Logistic Specialist and Lead Associates to drive continuous improvement in the IDO, RTV, PRO, and Delivery/Inventory MOS, while coordinating closely with the Corporate Logistics Leader to ensure alignment of corporate policies with the site/AEOC.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Develop and foster a strong relationship with the onsite staff, monitor daily/hourly adherence to KPI’s, assess staffing structure and identify areas for optimization to improve flow, drive productivity savings, and mitigate single point failures on critical areas/roles
+ Ensure timely execution of incoming, outgoing and stockroom/warehouse processes and material movement transactions to support the Commercial and Defense sites. Deploy visual management tools that enable day by the hour tracking for shipments and stockroom/warehouse processes. Ensure current and accurate inventory control and maintain cycle count accuracy
+ Ensure compliance with Global Procedures and manage incoming material, stockroom and warehoused materials, outgoing materials, and WMS metrics adherence
+ Maintain/improve quality performance in shipping, receiving/inspection, and the stockroom ensuring RCCA and CAR activities are completed on time
+ Partner with the Corporate Logistics Leader to ensure alignment with Honeywell Logistics processes
+ Partner with the Materials Leader to ensure seamless annual physical inventory process. Manage inventory activities around wall to wall or cycle counts
+ Participate as a member of the ISC Leadership team, driving strategic improvements across the site and setting high standards for performance and behaviors and developing a strong succession plan. Weekend overtime during month/quarter end will be necessary.

YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelor’s degree (or 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics role experience as equivalent)
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management
+ Basic computer skills and proficiency in using inventory management systems
