Description We are seeking a skilled Logistics Manager/Dispatch to join our team. Located in Broadview Heights, Ohio, this role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Logistics Manager/Dispatch, your responsibilities will include overseeing independent contractor drivers, planning their routes, and managing logistics. You will also play a vital role in understanding our industry and applying your previous experience to optimize operations. Responsibilities: • Overseeing drivers who are independent contractors, ensuring they adhere to schedules and routes. • Using software tools such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Maptitude for efficient route planning. • Applying strong leadership skills to troubleshoot issues and train drivers. • Leveraging knowledge of 3rd logistics to enhance operational efficiency. • Coaching drivers and maintaining open lines of communication for smooth operations. • Using CRM and ERP solutions for effective resource planning and business systems management. • Using 'About Time' and 'Cargowise' for efficient billing functions and customs handling. • Providing exceptional customer service, addressing and resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner. • Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when required.
