We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to oversee and facilitate the Logistics team responsible for all products shipping from our Iron Mountain and Des Moines facilities. This individual will also be responsible for the field services aspects of the logistics team which is part of the complete turnkey enclosure delivery process. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solving individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to streamline our logistics procedures. A Day In The Life + Plan and implement overall logistics strategy, considering the shipments of large electrical enclosures across various states. + Supervise and direct logistics staff, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. + Optimize and oversee inventory control, distribution, transportation, and long term storage activities to maximize efficiency and minimize cost. + Work closely with the Director of Supply Chain to negotiate contracts with carriers, vendors, and offsite storage operators, ensuring terms that favor the company’s needs and budget constraints. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing transportation and material handling. + Develop analytics, systems, and data management capabilities, including metrics and reports. + Resolve issues concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, and customer issues. + Work with customer and Hubbell risk management to mitigate any issues concerning delivery of products + Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with company processes, such as sales, order management, and production. + Manage budget for all logistics operations, including forecasting needs and cost analysis. What will help you thrive in this role? + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field + Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or similar leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing environment dealing with large products and Union labor. + Strong working knowledge of logistics and inventory management software. + Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. + Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. + Strong focus on customer service + Ability to lead and manage staff effectively. Preferred: + Experience in the electrical enclosures or utilities industry. + Advanced knowledge of route surveys, heavy load transportation, logistics strategy and execution.
