Description Job Description: A growing commercial equipment wholesale company in Bergen County, NJ, is seeking a Logistics Planner to manage and optimize local delivery routes for a small fleet of trucks. The ideal candidate will have experience in route planning, regional logistics, and customer service, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to end users. Key Responsibilities: · Plan, coordinate, and optimize daily delivery routes for multiple trucks. · Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate last-minute changes, delays, or rescheduling needs. · Utilize routing software and regional knowledge to enhance delivery efficiency. · Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure seamless operations. · Handle customer inquiries regarding deliveries, providing excellent customer service. · Track and analyze delivery performance to improve routing and scheduling strategies. · Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules, driver assignments, and route performance. · Ensure compliance with company policies and local transportation regulations. Requirements Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2 years in logistics, transportation planning, or a similar role. Skills: · Strong knowledge of local and regional routes. · Proficiency in routing and scheduling software. · Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. · Strong communication and customer service skills. · Problem-solving mindset to handle unexpected logistics challenges. · Preferred: Experience managing a small fleet of trucks and working in a fast-paced environment.
