POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistics Representative is responsible for managing customer’s supply chain information and data within C.H. Robinson’s Transportation Management System. They act as an extension of the customer’s staff to ensure that all information flows properly and efficiently to ensure all transportation arrangements are made. The Logistics Representative is accountable for independently managing their own area of responsibility, fostering, and maintaining a relationship with their assigned customer(s), and utilizing the CHR project-based delivery model to improve any internal or external processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Ensure Transportation arrangements are made for shipments by the following:
Monitor customer load board and information flow in the Transportation Management System
Maintain any team mailboxes
Perform relationship and knowledge-based exception management to any pre-defined processes
Document and organize existing standard operating processes
Learn multiple job functions within assigned team
Facilitate customer calls and updates, identify when an outgoing call is needed to offer proactive answers
Meet operational metrics
Conduct CHR systems trainings to external CHR customer representatives
Manage reconciliation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
Make fact-based suggestions on how customers can achieve their goals in utilizing CHR by understanding CHR’s value proposition
Act as a resource and support for peers when needed
Understand and utilize CHR’s project-based delivery model to find process improvements and cost savings within area of responsibility and/or team
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Transportation, and/or Logistics
Ability to work flexible schedule on occasion
Ability to travel up to 5% (domestic and/or international)
Site Specific: Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
Information systems acumen
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Ability to present to a variety of audiences
Ability to think critically, analyze data and solve problems quickly and accurately
Ability to work in a team oriented and fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize and handle a variety of tasks
