We are seeking a dynamic, adaptable, and detail-focused Logistics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of logistics within an operational setting, and the experience to manage both material and their logistics simultaneously. The focus of the role is to ensure that bulk materials required by the site and customers are moved, delivered, and dispatched on time according to the operational needs of the business.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Support with the coordination, scheduling, and deliveries of shipments, ensuring adherence to deadlines and customer requirements.
+ Maintain constant and clear communication with carriers to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of all shipments.
+ Handle a high volume of deliveries.
+ Prepare shipping documents and ensure the compliance with all HAZMAT regulatory requirements and SCT (Mexico regulations)
+ Coordinate and support the collection of appropriate documents from Carriers.
+ Collaborate with internal Operation and Supply Team to improve efficiency and streamline logistics operations.
+ Coordinate the pickups of Raw Material in Isotanks used in the production with carriers using the FIFO methodology.
+ Monitor the inventory levels to ensure an optimal stock level for production and customer deliveries.
+ Inventory report and consolidation of externals warehouse.
+ Follow up on delivery delays and safety issues.
+ Activities monthly audits
+ Monthly and yearly expedited expense report.
+ Monitoring logistics performance and monthly reporting of supply metrics.
+ Support month-end and year-end close process.
+ Receiving of wide range of products daily in SAP system.
+ Resolve shipping discrepancies.
+ Provide support to the Logistics Supervisor as required.
+ Revision and authorization of Invoices from carrier suppliers
+ Evaluate and improve logistics processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
**Qualifications & Skills**
+ Bachelor´s in chemical/industrial Engineer, bachelor’s in international business/international logistics or equivalent
+ 2+ years of experience in logistics.
+ Ability to work under pressure to fulfill agreed deadlines.
+ Flextime availability
+ Knowledge on SAP (P31) is preferred.
+ Excellent Computer skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI.
+ Strong understanding of SCT regulations of HAZMAT materials.
+ Manage Storage Operations
+ Advanced level of English
