ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ensure precise, cost effective fuel distribution planning and cost reduction for overall transportationSummarizing, analysis and reporting of distribution planning indicators, as well as other relevant reportsEnsure implementation of logistics strategies in accordance with development goals, ensure achievement of goals and plansPerform necessary control mechanisms daily, to ensure the volume and quality within supply chain from oil terminals to end-consumersEnsure information exchange with internal and external partnersEnsure close relations with suppliers and clients in accordance with Circle K ethics and HSSE policyRepresent logistics unit in cooperation with other units in the company or external cooperation partnersChase product opportunities within the market place (Arb) and ensure execution by both internal & external carriers to the highest standardsEngage in cooperation with sales unit and customer service unit to gain high standard customer service. Act proactively in search for opportunities how to improve achievement of goals.Show immediate reaction and suggest solutions to customer complaintsMaintain close relations with external suppliers to gain understanding of products and services;Ensure good routine of registration and retaining of information relevant for execution of duties.Provides day to day work direction to our motor fuel common carriers to insure compliance with Circle K SOP, lifting instructions, load shifting, inventory levels, and arbitrage captureInsures compliance with local, state and federal legal requirements by assisting common carriers during fuel conversion seasonsMonitor store level inventories and work with motor fuel common carriers to prevent run outs Review fuel dispatch system to insure proper setup parameters, sales trends, supply sources, and tank configurationsProvides after hours coverage for emergencies that are not resolved by support team membersWorks as liaison between carrier, supply and accounting departments to resolve any questions/issues

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

3 – 5 years experience working in a transportation dispatch department and/or in petroleum trucking industryFluent in English.Computer literate in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Associate or Bachelors degree in business, operations management or related field  Experience working with TMW Fuel dispatch software or similar applicationsExperience with supplier and project managementBasic knowledge of dangerous goods transportation and relevant legislation.
