A Logistics Specialist I job is available with our client in Parker, CO. As a Logistics Specialist I, you will assist with the preparation of logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. You'll learn applicable state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements. To be considered for this role, you will have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and relevant work experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist with the preparation of our logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals to be deployed and stocked.
* Support routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities.
* Responsible for the safety and security of people or property.
* Inspects, handles or transports explosives, dangerous or hazardous materials. Inspects structures, equipment or vehicles.
* Operate or supervise vehicles, heavy or dangerous equipment or machinery
* Work directly with departments as a liaison to ensure the safe, accurate, and compliant flow of materials throughout the production process
* Performs aviation related duties

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be a US Citizen
* Ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearance may be required
* High school diploma or GED equivalent
* Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
* Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
* Ability to pass a DOT Physical and provide an MVR
* Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps.
* Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity. * Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors.
* Occasionally requires hearing abilities to include discerning different tones and volumes.
* Frequently lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
* Occasionally exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
* Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials.
* Occasionally exposed to loud noises

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Exposure to inventory databases
* Familiarity with Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques
* Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
* HazMat Training/Certification
* Ability to operate a Forklift Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS
* Understanding of Shelf Life
* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
