Logistics Specialist I / Supply Chain Specialist

Our client in Plano, TX is seeking a Logistics Specialist I to join their team. As a Logistics Specialist I, you will be part of the Warehouse Operations Department supporting Supply Chain and Logistics Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Plano, TX
Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00/hr depending on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30AM to 5PM
Job Type: Temp-to-hire


What’s the Job?

Manage carrier relationships and negotiate cost-effective shipping rates. Coordinate and execute domestic and international shipments. Ensure compliance with customs regulations, incoterms, and HS codes. Collaborate with supply chain and inventory teams to optimize logistics operations. Monitor shipments in transit and provide status updates on delays or changes. Maintain accurate records and documentation for shipments and customs activities. Identify and escalate security risks while contributing to remediation efforts. Assist with administrative tasks, including office organization and reporting.
What’s Needed? 3-5 years of experience in international logistics / broker experience REQUIRED, logistics coordination, or a related field. Experience in creating COMMERCIAL INVOICES required Strong understanding of import/export regulations, incoterms, and HS code classifications. Expertise in customs clearance procedures and international shipping operations, including AWBs, BOLs, and ECCN Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite for logistics management. Logistics or trade compliance certification is a plus. Flexibility to support various warehouse operations and assist teams where needed. Hands-on experience in warehouse logistics, including receiving, shipping, and inventory control, and freight coordination with carriers (e.g., FedEx, DHL, freight forwarders) to schedule and track shipments Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills, with experience collaborating across diverse teams and leadership levels.
