Essential Functions + Answers calls from carriers, customers, truck drivers, drilling fluids specialists, and warehouse personnel + Dispatches jobs to appropriate truck driver for pick-up and delivery of loads or equipment • Inventory reconciliation for warehouses + Give driving directions/routes to truck drivers + Maintains accurate logs and records of dispatches + Maintains well site folders + Assists billing with tickets, deliveries and returns + Provides customer service support + Performs other duties as assigned Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or educational equivalent. 3 years experience. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good computer skills. General knowledge of procedures and practices of transportation and distribution methods. Position Summary Under general supervision, performs a variety of clerical duties relating to typing, filing and checking freight bills for accuracy. Dispatches products, equipment, and personnel as specified and maintains records of communications and dispatching activities. Utilizes company transportation management system, updating carrier base, equipment, and rates. Contacts carrier by phone or mail for clarification or changes in schedules and/or pricing. Contacts carrier for the tracing of shipments. May recommend the routing and method of shipping. Handles special projects, as assigned.
