We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking Logistics Specialist at our site in Charleston, TN. What you will do: The Logistics Specialist manages, performs, and has oversight of 3PL shipping processes, inventory control/reconciliation, problem resolution and external material flow processes at Wacker’s external warehouses and tollers. The roles responsibilities include: warehouse and toller logistics support and management to meet customer delivery needs; driving continuous improvement activities within the scope of the work processes at external warehouses and tollers; manage the overall operational relationship with the external warehouses; manage the process in conjunction with the 3PL shipments, returns and damaged products from the external warehouses and tollers; work with Supply Chain, 3PL and CSR for problem shipment resolution.; be the main operational contact for IT requests, trouble shooting and the functional back up for all offsite warehousing activities in SAP and shipping; monitor customer complaints and implement actions to reduce customer complaints, identify trends and assist the warehouses with root cause and corrective actions; be the m ain source for resolution of Logistics Control Tower issues related to EDI errors; and identify and resolve improper user use of SAP to create deliveries and documents. + Manages, performs, and has oversight of shipping processes, inventory control/reconciliation, returns, damaged material and problem resolution at Wacker’s external warehouses and tollers; 50%. + Interact with site logistics, international imports and exports, supply chains, business teams to assure customer satisfactions; 10%. + Monitor and input customer complaints and implement actions to reduce customer complaints. Identify trends and assist the warehouses with root cause and corrective action; 15%. + Attend strategic process improvement meetings with business teams, upper management, supply chain and CSR colleagues; 5%. + Monthly inventory analysis and reconciliation; 5% + Monitor system for LCT issues and identify problems in SAP, LCT and EDI transmission; 10%. + Travel to offsite warehouses as required; 5%. What we need from you: + Bachelors preferred in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience. + 5-7 years’ of relevant experience + Logistics processes experience + Strong Analytical as well as written and communication skills + Ability to interact with computer programs, including SAP + Strong people interaction and networking skills + Real time decision making + Strategic decision making + Strong organization, negotiating skills, and attention to detail. + SAP, IMDG, HAZMAT, and DOT training desired What do we offer?
