Job Description
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for executing customer vehicle relocation services orders and all supporting business operations. Key activities include customer order management and execution, communication through email and telephone with staff, Independent Contractors (ICs), and pickup and delivery contacts, and maintaining accurate data in each order tracked in CRM.
ResponsibilitiesManage execution of customer orders, including timely coordination and scheduling of vehicle pickup and delivery while ensuring customer instructions are precisely followed.Ensure orders are efficiently executed through 'linking' of multiple orders.Oversee accurate and timely completion of additional services such as vehicle detailing, titling/registration, and vehicle placement into storage.Communicate promptly by email, telephone, and CRM with staff, ICs, and pickup and delivery contacts, escalating issues to management as appropriate.Update CRM activities and notes promptly, maintain accurate data after each telephone call and email communication, including uploading photos and scanned documents.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and adherence to applicable DOT regulations and Federal, State, and Local laws.Calculate and offer flat fees on orders by emailing the bid sheet to all ICs, in the absence of or under the direction of the manager.Manage the storage facility, including daily management of vehicle inventory, checking vehicles in and out, reviewing and noting damage and issues, and taking inventory of items left in vehicles.Move vehicles in and out of the lot, bringing them into a secure lot when drivers drop them off, and staging them for pickup by drivers.Ensure all cars on the lot are accounted for, and communicate any issues to headquarters for resolution before reactivation.Essential SkillsHigh School DiplomaAbility to learn and utilize all company systems and equipment, including updates and upgrades.Provide outstanding customer service and up-to-date information to keep customers informed of developments.Monitor and manage team dashboard and complete tasks to keep orders moving.Manage time effectively and follow through to completion.Respond and act confidently, assertively, and decisively while taking responsibility and accountability for position requirements.Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment while multi-tasking and being detail-oriented.Strong Microsoft Office Excel, data entry, and CRM experience is preferred.Typing speed of at least 37 WPM.Strong communication skills (written and verbal).Additional Skills & Qualifications6 months of customer service experience; inventory experience is a plus.Enjoy being part of a cooperative and considerate team.Advanced computer skills.Possess and demonstrate professionalism, honesty, trustworthiness, respect, courtesy, patience, flexibility, cultural awareness, and a sound work ethic.Work Environment
This position is on-site at Marysville, OH. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to manage several concurrent projects with high attention to detail and accuracy. The role involves frequent communication with independent contractors (truck drivers) to assign orders and serve as their main point of contact.
