Logistics Specialist (TERM)
The Position

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a passionate and meticulous Logistics Specialist to become a key player on our vibrant team. Contractor position for 12 months with possible extensions up to 3 years
Shift: 4X10, 6:00 am to 5:00 pm (1 Monday - Thursday OR 1 Tuesday – Friday)

As a Logistics Specialist, you will:

Material Handling & Management: Move, store, and manage both cGMP and non-cGMP materials, including receiving, inspecting, and documenting GMP raw materials in compliance with SOPs and department procedures.

Process Improvement & Compliance: Develop and refine procedures to enhance department efficiency, ensure adherence to cGMP, SOPs, and safety requirements, and manage discrepancies using Veeva Discrepancy Management System.

Inventory & Documentation: Oversee GMP inventory management, perform cycle counts, and accurately maintain records in SAP and other documentation systems for both GMP and non-GMP materials.

Shipping Operations: Handle packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation for cGMP samples and materials, including compliance with IATA and DOT guidelines and performing international shipments with knowledge of customs and invoicing.

Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Safely operate material handling equipment (forklifts), perform preventive maintenance, and conduct visual inspections while maintaining proper logbook documentation.

Safety & Environmental Compliance: Follow established safety and environmental guidelines, report incidents promptly, and contribute to a positive safety culture.

Project & Task Completion: Complete assigned projects and tasks as required, maintain accurate database master data, and manage Kanban for various customers as needed.

Who you are:

You have a BA or BS in Business Administration or a related field, or if you have an Associate Degree and 2 years of experience, or a High School diploma with 4 years of relevant experience. You bring at least 4 years of experience in a warehouse or GMP-regulated environment.

You’re familiar with ERP/MRP systems, and experience with SAP is a definite plus. Any APICS training or experience would be an added benefit.

You meet the visual requirements necessary for accurate inspection and documentation, and you hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

You’re comfortable using computer-based systems, including MS Office and Google Suite.

You have prior experience in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing environment and are familiar with handling hazardous materials, or are ready to obtain the necessary endorsements.

You have a Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Forklift experience is a plus.

Work Environment:

The schedule includes a non-rotating 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts. You might work one weekend day and could be scheduled for evening, night, or off-shift hours, providing a dynamic work experience.

Be prepared for a role that may require flexibility, including overtime, holidays, and varying shifts to meet our business and customer needs.

Expect to be on your feet for 8 to 10 hours each day, ensuring you stay engaged and active throughout your shift.

You may need to navigate up to 6 flights of stairs daily within our manufacturing facility, offering a good workout as part of your routine.

Lift up to 50 lbs as needed and adhere to safety protocols by wearing required attire, including hospital scrubs, bunny suits, gloves, and steel-toe boots.

Work with level 1 chemicals in a controlled environment, with all vital safety measures in place to ensure your protection.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Oregon is $40,000-$74,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
