Logistics Supply Analyst

Under the supervision of the Installation Supply Manager, the Logistics Supply Analyst ensures that the Installation Supply Division (ISD) functions in accordance with established safety and government policies; including the planning, assigning, and supervising of employees as required. The Logistics Supply Analyst interfaces directly with all levels of military customers and government agencies. The Logistics Supply Analyst coordinates with contract and customer operations & planning personnel to develop appropriate planning, required analytics and briefing products in coordination with the Performance Work Statement or other mission documents. Responsibilities Major Responsibilities: Acts on guidance from the Installation Supply Manager dealing with requirements, objectives, and priorities. Provides analysis as required for the effective utilization of current and/or operations, projected equipment and facilities. Provides operational oversight over the Supply Operations Center. Researches and develops new techniques and procedures to increase the efficiency of the supply and services division. Develops briefings, presentations and reports as required. Assists the Installation Supply Manager in the review of manpower requirements and establishes workload priorities for the department. Recommends internal priorities at assigned level, monitors operations, and provides management data and reports as required. Completes resource requirements determination and integration of available internal and external assets (workforce composition, structure, and equipment necessary to accomplish specified tasks). Assist with implementation of safety directives, improve safety performance, and ensure facility safety policies & procedures are aligned with governmental regulations. Possesses in-depth expert knowledge of U.S. Army logistics and supply program relationships, concepts and methodologies pertaining to the Central Issue Facility (CIF), Ammunition Supply Point (ASP), Installation Supply Support Activities (ISSA), Subsistence Supply Management Office (SSMO), Installation Property Book Office (IPBO), Clothing Initial Issue Point (CIIP), Modernization Displacement and Repair Site (MDRS) and Bulk Fuel (POL). Tracks all concerns and issues having importance to the Installation Supply Manager. Receives and consolidates monthly ISR data for monthly submission to the LRC Plans Branch. Supports the LRC EOC team working 24/7 in the Installation Emergency Operations Center when activated and during training exercises. Actively participates, with the LRC Ops Team, in all MCoE and Garrison IPRs and working groups meetings in order to plan, coordinate, and synchronize LRC multifunctional logistics support. Develops internal OPORD'S and FRAGO'S for the Logistics Contract that support LRC, Garrison, and MCoE operations. Assumes the role of the Installation Supply Manager in their absence. Perform other duties as assigned. Material & Equipment Directly Used: General office equipment, computers, fax, printers, web and internet services, server platforms, and other electronic forms of management, collaboration, and data sharing. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective mask, safety vest, steel or composite shoes/boots, safety gloves, hard hat and eyewear in certain areas. Physical Activities: The physical requirements of this position include long periods of sitting, standing, and communicating via electronic means. Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. Work Environment: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Normal work week is 40 hours (5 days a week). This position requires flexibility to work extended hours due to operational requirements. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education / Certifications: BS in business, or Logistics, or any other related field preferred. Equivalent experience can be substituted for a degree with a minimal of 2 years or more experience with military logistics plans and operations, Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). Must be able to pass a pre- employment drug screen. Valid State Driver's License without restrictions. U.S. citizenship is required. Experience / Skills: Extensive military training in logistics plans and or operations, or equivalent civilian course work required. Have a thorough military or industrial logistics and/or operations training and experience. Have a broad and comprehensive knowledge of the theory, principles, and methods required to plan, track, and execute a Logistical Support Operation. Working multiple platforms at once (voice, phone call, email, text, apps, social media, etc.) operation, monitoring, maintenance, and support for that system. Proven excellent communication writing skills, to keep records of discussions, decisions, and agreements. Must possess expertise in Microsoft office and capable of generating electronic reports and conducting data mining and business analysis. Must possess the ability to understand operating procedures, work Instructions, Army regulations, military and commercial technical manuals, and applicable Department of Defense forms. Have a working knowledge of the following military computer programs: Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) and Installation Support Module (ISM) Must have the ability to work independently and in a team-based, highly collaborative environment. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with subordinates, peers and senior personnel. Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.
