ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Provide support such as shipping and receiving, storage, warehousing, issuing, inventory and property control, requisition preparation, processing initial outfitting lists, interface with financial and maintenance personnel.Prepare and arrange materials and products in bulk and non-bulk forms for distribution or storage, moving and loading or unloading equipment, materials, and products; operating forklifts and related material-handling machinery and equipment and using hand trucks to load and move materials.Receive, process, and track new assets into the appropriate asset tracking system, log system actions, and provide logs to the Accountable Property Officer.Prepare assets no longer serviceable for disposition and assist with transporting of the assets to the Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services.Provide logistics support for the procurement of furniture or other associated furniture items.Provide assessment and documentation of site requirements, interface with procurement and financial personnel as required.Follow-up on procurement and installation status and issues, tracking of overall project progress, and close-out of projects upon completion.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Required Education, Experience and Licensure:

 

Two (2) years of Logistics Operations, including warehousing, receiving, inventory control, and requisitioning and customer service.Must have and maintain a professional operator’s license to operate forklifts and successfully complete a physical examination.Demonstrate the ability to work independently and be able to communicate effectively both orally and through formal reports.Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

 

Must be able to work independently, have strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to coordinate multiple tasks.Superior customer service focus.Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
