The Logistics Technician is responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, instruments, or equipment to meet customer expectations which involve receiving, shipping, and inventory/material control. Performs manual and/or clerical duties that may utilize various systems / WMS involved in receipt or preparation of materials for shipment. Performs a wide variety of planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow. Coordinates and monitors workflow, assisting in scheduling and prioritizing activities in assigned distribution area. Maintains compliance with relevant local, country, and international guidelines. May have responsibility for fulfillment administration and processes.
This position reports to the Logistics Inventory Manager and is part of the Logistics Stock Team located in Waltham, MA and will be on-site. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Pick/Pack/Ship finished goods for domestic and international shipments,
+ Assemble completed component into finished goods and stock in inventory management system,
+ Inventory spot checks, digital and physical transaction requests, warehouse transfers, issuance requests, and digital scrap requests.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Educated to high school/GED level.
+ Computer sufficient, including Microsoft Office.
+ Adhere to strict safety, quality, and production standards.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
+ Able to lift 50lbs (not very often).
+ This role will involve standing for 60-90% of the time.
+ The job could also require short periods in a freezer environment, insulated clothing will be provided.
Shift Hours will be Monday - Thursday 11:30am - 8:00pm and Friday 10:30am - 7:0pm.
The hourly range for this role is $20/hr - $23.50/hr. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
