Join Our Aerospace Team as a Logistics Technician!
Location: Phoenix, AZ | Job Type: Full-Time, 6-Month Contract | Pay Rate: $21.85/hour
Summary of the Role:Ready to play a pivotal role in the aerospace industry? As a Logistics Technician at PDS Tech Commercial, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the smooth flow of critical materials, parts, and equipment. You’ll manage high-value assets with precision, supporting our teams to maintain excellence in aerospace production and delivery.
What You’ll Do: Coordinate and Expedite Materials: Handle the receipt, transfer, and inventory of materials, parts, and tools, ensuring assets are properly tracked and accounted for. Track Inventory and Assets: Maintain records related to stock levels, cost, and materials, and investigate any discrepancies in stock counts. Handle Shipments: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and report any discrepancies. Ensure Compliance: Apply asset management policies and ensure compliance with FAR 52.245-1, especially when conducting government property inventories. Operate Equipment: Safely move and handle heavy items (up to 35 lbs), while obtaining forklift certification for material movement when necessary. Required Qualifications: Education: AA degree + 1 year of relevant experience OR High School Diploma/GED + 3 years of directly related work experience. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 35 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the day. Technical Skills: Experience with inventory management systems (Equip, SAP), and strong computer skills. Certifications: Must be able to obtain forklift certification. Other Requirements: Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced computer skills, especially in Excel, SAP, and Equip. Forklift certification. Pay Details: $21.85 per hour
