LOGISTICS TECHNICIAN | TIER II (MIELS):

 

Bowhead is seeking Logistics Technicians to support a customer in Stafford, VA. Support for the contract will consist of program management; logistics; asset management; engineering; customer service; research and development of new capabilities; test and evaluation; manpower, training, and personnel; new equipment fielding and training; financial management; information assurance; cybersecurity; and 24X7 enterprise services operations and sustainment.

Responsibilities Effectively access and use the Global Combat Service Support - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC), Defense Property Accounting System (DPAS) and associated data system tools to provide Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) data management expertise and quality control reviews.Provide expertise on supply accounts to include, but not limited to requisition management, account reconciliation of Due and Status Files (DASFs), Consolidated Memorandums of Receipt (CMRs), inventory coordination, property accountability and management, and other related specialty areas.Assist in reviewing Corrective Action Plan (CAP) milestones by conducting analysis, providing recommendations, and assisting with obtaining the test articles or documentation to support the completion of the milestone.Support the audit, inspection, and physical inventory of Marine Corps property.Assist in developing and implementing process improvements as required.Submit, track, and manage requests for strategic movements via various methods to higher USMC headquarters, U.S. TRANSCOM, and to adjacent services for execution.Liaise with program offices to coordinate shipments through the MCB Quantico Distribution Management Office (DMO). This includes the reporting and documenting of dimensional data, hazardous cargo, and classified shipments. Qualifications Bachelors degreeFive (5+) years’ experience in logistical management or supply chain management. Applicable USMC software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment.Familiar with USMC Program of Record (PoR) documentation required for acquisitions and GCSS-MC birthing of equipment. Experience with DoD and MCSC policies and processes to include USMC logistics, maintenance management, supply chain management, and job task analysis. Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team of government and non-government stakeholders.MS Office skills and proficiency with USMC logistics common applications, Total Force Structure Management Systems (TFSMS), GCSS-MC, Technical Data Management (TDM) Catalyst, TDM Publications, and Total Life-Cycle Management – Operational Support Tool (TLCM-OST).Strong oral / written communication skills, and analytical capabilities.Preferred: Knowledge of DoD acquisition life cycle.Preferred: Knowledge of Marine Corps logistics fundamentals.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level with Counter Intelligence Polygraph.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
