At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Logistics Technician supports and
manages the responsibilities of the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects. Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning, and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance, and/or repair activities.
Performs clerical and manual tasks to maintain an inventory of materials, parts, supplies and equipmentReceive, barcode, inventory and disposition assigned equipmentUpdate tracking/management database with asset informationMove equipment between facilities via pallet jack or pushcartMaintain consumable stock levels - complete equipment reorders as requiredSupports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance and/or repair activitiesConducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory, and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery timesParticipates in special projects as required.Qualifications
AA/AS or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.3+ years of related inventory management experienceMust have a valid driver's licenseHands-on logistics analyst and technician to be part of a team of logistics professionals focused on supporting the customer's mission at the largest site in the customer's enterpriseReady for full days, fast pace, and a variety of skill sets used throughout the weekPerform the full spectrum of duties associated with shipping/receiving, inter-plant transfers, barcode assignments and database maintenanceAble to account for annual inventory of thousands of accountable items, working with security and government logistics managers for dispositionAssist other work centers to identify and satisfy their logistics requirementsMust have MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook skills. Proficient in creating, modifying, and organizing spreadsheets with large line itemsAttention to detail and ability to track multiple logistics tasking through established and evolving policy a must.Additional Job Description
Must be able to lift, carry, and load equipment/material weighing up to 50 pounds, onto shelves, pallets, and box trucks for transport. Regularly required to stand, walk, and occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlMust be able to access IT equipment in and around office furniture, as part of annual inventory is required Perform both manual labor associated with (among other duties) palletizing/de-palletizing equipment plus above average skills with office computers and applications.Because of the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client, all candidates must hold a TS/SCI with Polygraph.GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:
