Logistics Warehousing Operations Manager

Reporting to Director of Supply Chain & Organizational Capabilities, the Logistics Warehousing Operations Manager will lead all operational processes between production and the warehouse, directs the 3PL and manages the outbound transportation between the factory warehouse and distribution warehouses. The Logistics Warehousing Operations Manager will train the warehousemen, create, and manage all material flows with the production team and be responsible for inventory accuracy as well as outbound efficiency. In addition, the Logistics Warehousing Operations Manager will also be responsible for managing, adjusting, and documenting processes and for driving efficiencies and continuous improvements. This role will be based out of our brand-new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities
+ Own the training of logistical staff to SAP/EWM in the factory warehouse as well as production floor
+ Define, establish and monitor Operational Procedures for material flows from a bin location in the warehouse to consumption in production
+ Train, manage and support the 3PL in the factory warehouse.
+ Supervise the conveyor system operations and always ensure factory supply and shipments.
+ Manage product movements between factory warehouse and copacker as well as distribution warehouses (transfers of finished goods)
+ Work closely with Quality Management to ensure compliance with quality standards upon receipt of raw materials and shipment of finished goods
+ Responsible for ensuring all non-conforming raw material and finished goods are isolated and secure.
+ Responsible for both raw and finished good trace activities upon ownership transfer to and from the warehouse.
+ Manage warehouse capacity with planning and procurement to sustain capacity levels of 85%
+ Ensure quick and flexible responses to immediate production needs for materials.
+ Identify efficiency drivers and savings in day-to-day operations, such as inbound and outbound materials planning, receiving, picking, labeling, staging, quality assurance and quality control.
+ Actively support HARIBO auditors and warehouse visits; trouble shoot SAP issues; provide business performance updates and forward-looking insight to 3rd Party Logistics Provider.
+ Coordinate and monitor operations to ensure KPI’s are met and reported weekly/monthly/annually.
+ Actively participate in strategic warehouse operational and future site planning, continuous improvement, carrier performance, inventory, quality and safety meetings, ensuring alignment between 3rd Party Logistics providers and HARIBO.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience in EWM (SAP warehouse management system) is required.
+ Minimum of 5 years of people management experience in a manufacturing/operations environment.
+ Minimum 3 years of experience managing a 3rd party logistics provider (financial/operational /KPI) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
+ CPG/Food/Pharmaceutical Industry preferred.
+ Familiarity with Food Safety and Quality procedures.
+ Familiarity with Food Safety and Quality procedures.
+ Familiar with FSSC 22000 or other Food Safety management system requirements.
Skills
+ Ability to work independently and effectively on a team.
+ Ability to execute day-to-day tactics while developing and monitoring a multi-year strategic plan.
+ Ability to effectively address complex issues in an effective and efficient manner with complete discretion; ability to be entrusted with sensitive and confidential information.
+ Result-driven with excellent judgement, and decision making, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and analytical skills.
