Ecolab is seeking a Logistics Wave Planner to join our growing team in Missisauga, ON. The Wave Planner reports into the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for planning out the work to be completed each shift by viewing upcoming shipments and compiling shipment orders into workable “wave groups” for the order selectors to pick. This individual will collaborate with logistics leads, supervisors, and fork truck operator staff to maintain proper warehouse flow. The role will also support the team as a back-up Forklift Operator, including order picking and/or packing, order processing and other logistics duties.

Wave Planner Duties:
Foster clear communication with your team and internal contactsAct as a subject matter expertQuality reporting, daily operational audits, customer complaints, inventory accuracy, and cycle-countingAdministrative tasks to support business needsManage and support operational workflowSet work into obtainable work groups, re-prioritizing when necessaryAssign and monitor the work of various warehouse personnelComplete the waves in the warehouse management system (wms)Release orders based on pick-up time/date, order size, type, and complexityUpdate the wave and loading dashboardsEnsure clear communication to picking and replenishment teams to ensure that operators understand which queue they are to be working inEnsure loads are completed by pick-up time and reprioritize work TO’s to facilitate thisEnsure a balance of work between work queuesOther duties as required and assignedForklift Operator Duties:
Picks full-case orders and stacking them onto pallets using a scanner/tabletEnsures proper staging and identification once an order has been completely pickedUses various pieces of equipment (manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, reach truck, and propane lift) to move palletsVerifies quantities, quality of items and proper labeling of products that are being shippedExamines all packaging and contents of items for conformance to customer specifications and verifies all information against the packing list and SAPTrailer loading of packed boxes and palletsIdentifies items with a quantity discrepancy and promptly communicates with Supervisor and/or LeadMaintains the 5S cleanliness of the picking area and pulls completed shrink-wrapped orders to the dock for LTL packersFollows all safety and warehouse procedures and policiesPosition Details:
The main work location for this position will be Mississauga (Tomken Rd./Eglinton Ave.)Periodically, the role will be required to work at the Mississauga (Tranmere Dr./Drew Rd.) location, based on business requirementsCandidate must reside in: Greater Toronto AreaWork week and shift: Day Shift, Monday to Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm. Periodically, you may be scheduled for the afternoon shift, based on business requirementsMinimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. requiredPrevious work experience in logistics, transportation, operations or a related fieldProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel2 years experience and certification with counter-balance and reach fork lift truckAble to accurately perform basic mathematical calculationsAble to follow both written and verbal directionsA minimal level of analytical ability is requiredNo immigration sponsorship is available for this rolePhysical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 50lbsPreferred Qualifications:
