Long Term Care Facility Administrator

Overview:

WiredPeople invites applicants to join our growing team as a Long Term Care Facility Administrator. As a Long Term Care Facility Administrator, you will lead the administration and operation of the facility in accordance with federal and state guidelines.  Selected candidates must possess a current unencumbered nursing home administrator license issued by the West Virginia Nursing Home Administrator Licensing Board. The selected candidate will work fulltime, onsite in Terra Alta, WV. 

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the administration and operation of the facility in accordance with Federal and State nursing home participation requirements.Interpret federal, state and local regulations to assure compliance with nursing home operations and to fulfill licensure standards.Monitor medical reporting, staffing and procedures in order to ensure compliance with regulations and quality of care.Establish staffing levels in accordance with Federal, WV DOH and Joint Commission standards and patient care standards of the hospital based on census and acuity.Assist in collaboration with Therapy and Nursing Departments, objectives, standards, policies, procedures and quality improvement activities.Assist in developing programs to promote recruitment, orientation, retention and continuing education of the hospital.Promote collaboration among departments to promote coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the regulatory standards of all clinical services.Represent the facility on Medical Staff Committees and other Administrative Committees as assigned.Remain informed of developments and trends inside and outside the organizations which relate to the role.Direct various committees of the facility, such as care plan, infection control, pharmaceutical, budget quality assessment and assurance.The contracted nursing home administrator must also meet or pass all other Federal and State requirements of an administrator with oversight of a state owned and operated nursing home, including criminal background check clearance to include APS/CPS clearance, and having negative results on a drug and alcohol screening.Oversee day-to-day operations management of the hospital while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.Ensure compliance with all regulations related to Patients’ Rights and Responsibilities.Act as a liaison with contractual agencies.Collaborate and interact with other service leaders in the organization for strategic planning, integrating service lines and providing a vision and objectives for creating a mission driven culture of quality and care.Coordinate and direct all functions of the services and facilities.Implement new services to meet organizational, regional, resident and referral needs.Implement the budget and be responsible for managing costs.Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies governing long term care delivery by continually monitoring the operations and its programs.Ensure residents rights to fair and equitable treatment are well established and maintained at all times.Provide other administrative oversight as needed.

Qualifications:

Possess a current unencumbered nursing home administrator license in good standing, issued by the West Virginia Nursing Home Administrators Licensing Board (WVNHALB), or possess an active nursing home administrator license in good standing from another State and possess a temporary permit from the WVNHALBMust meet or pass all other Federal and State requirements of an administrator with oversight of a state-owned and operated nursing home, including criminal background check clearance to include APS/CPS clearance, and having negative results on a drug and alcohol screening.Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a healthcare facility administrator.Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, that are necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation.Leadership / Service Excellence Development.Should have experience working with the geriatric population, preferably in the long-term care setting.Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.Must be knowledgeable of computer systems, system applications, and other office equipment.WiredPeople provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
