Overview This is a field-based position that involves traveling to multiple sites across the Chicagoland area, as well as parts of Indiana and Iowa. How you'll make an impact Responsible for conducting loss and operational analysis, assessing adherence to best practices, standards and regulations, and developing and/or utilizing existing plans and materials required to achieve successful implementation of risk improvement programs. Applies understanding of client business, risk, risk profile and risk control service techniques to address client needs promptly and professionally, contributing to business growth and retention goals. Establishes and implements project plans with professional and consistent deliverables, accessing and deploying resources (including industry niche and subject matter experts, team members, carrier resources and 3rd party partners). Provides efficient and cost effective service, pro-actively managing renewals, effectively engaging and participating in account planning, working groups and strategic reviews. Work with NRC leadership to identify opportunities where client expectations and/or consultative solutions may drive additional revenue. Actively supports processes, procedures, growth strategies, and contributes to continuous improvement. About You Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience 3 years' related experience in Safety, Risk, or Insurance. Ability to acquire appropriate licenses in all states where business is conducted. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Moderate travel required, including some overnight travel. Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and work outside or normal business hours as required. Ability to perform work on varied customer properties; entails negotiating non-public access areas, climbing, lifting, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational or Industrial Safety, Fire Protection, Risk Management preferred; and certifications or ability to achieve within the first 18 months in the following: Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Behaviors: Interfaces optimally with management, clients, account teams and partners. Complies with all company policies and procedures, pro-actively protecting confidentiality of client and company information. Understands industry trends and governmental regulations. Efficiently coordinates work and manages time in order to meet deadlines. Exercises' discretion in confidential matters and uses independent judgment.
