Job Summary
Responsibilities:
+ Identifying and Investigating Discrepancies: Analyzing financial reports and
+ transaction data to detect unusual activity or discrepancies that could indicate errors, fraud, or theft.
+ Developing and Implementing Controls: Establishing processes and safeguards to prevent future losses, such as enhancing payment approval workflows, refining inventory tracking methods, or improving audit procedures.
+ Conducting Internal Audits: Regularly reviewing financial records, reconciliations, and operational practices to ensure accuracy and adherence to organizational policies
+ Risk Assessment and Management: Evaluating potential vulnerabilities in accounting systems and recommending strategies to mitigate risks, such as upgrading software security measures or increasing employee training on ethical standards.
+ Reporting and Documentation: Preparing detailed reports on findings, including the nature of losses, root causes, and recommended corrective actions. Maintaining thorough documentation of all investigations and follow-up measures.
+ Collaborating with Departments: Working closely with finance, operations, and compliance teams to address identified issues and implement solutions. Coordinating with external auditors and regulators when necessary.
+ Internal systems expert to include One Market.
+ Accounts Receivable: Assist in billing and collection process for shrink and minimums across multiple operations.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree with 3+ years experience in data analytics, focusing on retail loss trends, fraud, or financial risks.
+ Advanced MS Office skills to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Power BI.
+ Experience in driving successful loss prevention, shortage control, and fraud prevention programs.
+ Remote with approximately 30% travel
+ Self-motivated individual who can be successful in a fast-paced and geographically dispersed environment, with minimal supervision.
+ Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage projects independently in a fast-paced environment
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and leadership abilities.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills across multiple levels. Internal and External client communications and presentations required.
+ Maintains confidentiality concerning all information and projects and values and exhibits the highest level of personal integrity.
+ Knowledge of and previous experience with Loss Prevention technologies (including CCTV systems and exception reporting systems) is a plus.
