Loss Prevention Internal Investigator $22.00/HR

Job Duties:

Comply with all Six Flags Discovery Kingdom policies and procedures Operate in a safe manner Willfully perform duties in any department at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom when necessary Be an active team member Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and team members Follow all delegated tasks assigned Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned Conduct Internal Investigations utilizing undercover operatives, cameras, surveillance, audit, tips, etc. Monitor CCTV Conducting Financial and Compliance Audits Asset protection and inventory control Substance abuse investigations Suspect and Witness interviewing Courtroom preparation Report Writing Preventive Theft Credit card fraud and bad check recovery Electronic surveillance Prevention and Reward programs Background investigations (data retrieval/document search) Pre-employment screening Other duties as assigned

 

Other Functions:

The Loss Prevention Department at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom provides students with an excellent opportunity to receive first-hand training and experience in loss control, intelligence gathering, and field investigations. Agents work in several areas that include research, auditing, surveillance units, and interviewing.  While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the requirements of the job, management reserves the right to add or remove duties when circumstances (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs, or technological developments) dictate.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Must be 18 or older High School diploma or equivalent preferred Currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Accounting, or Pre-Law preferred; Retired law enforcement welcome. Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time Must be able to lift and carry 15 pounds with or without accommodations For safety purposes, the individual must be able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language Must possess above average communication skills with the ability to actively communicate with large groups Must react well in stressful and emergency situations. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Be available to work flexible hours at nights and on weekends within the limits of applicable Federal, State and facility labor laws and guidelines Available evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Must pass a background screening Good math skills Must be able to multitask Must have strong verbal and written skills Solid organizational skills Must be able to work indoors with artificial lighting and outdoors in all weather conditions Requires training and certification as an investigator (Review of manual & online testing) Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (word, excel)
