Loss Prevention Specialist Phoenix Area

PURPOSE: To prevent loss by monitoring and assisting management with loss prevention related activities throughout the store and insuring that company and store policies and procedures are maintained, while enhancing customer relations and services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide Loss Prevention support to Front End management at the checkout area. Observation and review of associate activities and compliance to company policies and procedures. Observes customers throughout the store as it relates to customer service and loss prevention; apprehends shoplifters; performs loss prevention activities as they relate to state law and company policy and procedures concerning retail theft. Assists management in the performance of loss prevention related inspections. Cooperate with and respond to requests by police departments, courts and other public agencies under the direction of Loss Prevention. Assists management with the implementation of Loss Prevention programs. Communicates with and trains associates on all loss prevention related issues.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES:
Repairs and maintains the CCTV equipment which are located in the ceilings and throughout the store. May Conduct routine audits Conduct night visits as assigned by Loss Prevention Assist in lock changesOTHER FUNCTIONS:
Performs other duties as assigned by management and Area Loss Prevention Manager. Represent Loss Prevention in store level Safety meetingsENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
May be required to work outdoors when conducting internal or external surveillance or apprehending a shoplifter. Exposure to heights, dust/and or airborne particles, and limited space areas.JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 21 years of age. Must have a High School Education or Equivalent Ability to read, understand and interpret signs, shelf labels and date codes. Ability to follow written and oral instruction. Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team. Ability to learn, understand and apply the information contained in company manuals, policies and practices relating to store operations. Ability to handle confrontational situations and respond quickly to incidents as they occur. Skill in operating general store and loss prevention equipment.DISCLAIMER
