Oversees and leads the initial and continued technical and tactical training of theft resolution and shrink reduction skills for Loss Prevention (LP) Associates. Works with Managers across multiple disciplines to assess and improve LP Associates to meet and/or exceed theft resolution goals and minimize liability exposures. Ensures the safety of LP Associates, store Associates and customers, and the protection of the Company brand through the administration of training. Exhibits and models sound judgment in their decision-making. Adheres to Company policies and maintains and supports Company culture and values.
Training & Skill Development
Delivers training and upskilling for LP Associates across multiple disciplinesCoordinates the logistics for training including: onboarding calendar, pre-work review, shipping materials, etc.Provides feedback and coaching to LP Associates. Partners with LP Managers to provide feedback on their assessment of LP Associates (e.g., Internal/external theft resolution skills, report writing, Case Management usage)Supports LP Managers during certification of new LP Associates.Assesses and evaluates technical skills for LP Associates and identifies the appropriate resources to support their developmentTracks each trainee's progress during onboardingInternal & External Theft Resolution
Trains LP Detectives to observe, apprehend and/or deter acts of dishonesty from external sourcesTrains National Task Force Investigators to initiate, investigate and document complex organized retail theft/fraud casesTrains LP Associates to initiate, investigate, and close dishonest Associate cases by identifying internal theft alert signals and methods, creating action plans, conducting surveillances, etc.Trains LP Specialists/LP Lead on protecting the Company's assets as it moves through the Supply ChainTrains LP Associates on implementing shrink and safety awareness programs and identifying resources to initiate and substantiate casesFocuses additional training and skill development for underperforming LP Associates through recommending/demonstrating strategies and solutions to improve theft resolution resultsPartnership and Development
Ongoing partnership and communication with Business Partners at multiple levels and disciplinesIs a Subject Matter Expert across multiple disciplines. This position has a starting pay range of $20.80 to $26.55 per hour.
Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
