Hourly base pay rate is $14.42 - $21.63/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

This position is responsible for checking in the wholesale inventory as it arrives, number the units for sale, take required photos of each vehicle, park cars in order for sale, and maintain accurate inventory by releasing units from the system as they exit the property.

***Approximately 50% of work week will be at the mobile sale at 3705 Lemay Ferry Road St. Louis MO 63125***

Job Responsibilities:

Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld computer (Portable Terminal – PT)  including:Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).Stock number.Dealer identification number.Make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc. Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received. Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry. Flag “no key” cars. Direct transporters to proper car drop zone. Report transport damage as needed. Take digital images of vehicle upon receipt.Organize and maintain the placement of vehicles within the designated zone or move area to the defined standard established by lot operations leadership.Responsible for continuous improvement efforts relating to safety and efficient movement of vehicles in and out of their assigned zone area.Confirm that all vehicles can operate safely and engage service and towing teams when inoperable vehicles are found.Set an example in behavior by championing Cox/Manheim values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect.Implement all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.Be a visible representation of Manheim’s safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures, and modeling the behaviors related to these directives.Perform other duties as assigned by management.May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Qualifications:

Minimum-

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline;OR 5 years’ experience in a related fieldSafe Drivers needed; Valid driver’s license required.Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.Basic mechanical knowledge of identifying (i.e., flat tires, low gas, jump starting vehicles.)Required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear, vision abilities required to include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.Must be able to walk long distance.

Preferred-

6 months auction or driving experience preferred.Knowledge of lot operations/lot layout preferred.Knowledge of LDM preferred.

Work Environment:

Constant exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level.
