Description:

A large engineering company is looking for a LOTO Manager who will be responsible for managing Lockout/Tagout for a Canola industrial processing facility. They will be responsible for managing hazardous energy for both electrical and mechanical systems. Candidate will have experience managing LOTO on major industrial projects. The candidate must always demonstrate safe work practices, all work will be performed in a safe manner. Safe work practices for the protection of people and equipment is essential to keep everyone safe on the project site. They will ensure projects are constructed, tested, inspected, and documented in accordance with the project specifications, governing codes of construction and prime agreements. This individual will verify construction is performed in accordance with the contract specifications and drawing requirements through preparatory planning, inspection, and record review.

LOTO Manager is a challenging, high intensity and rewarding role. Candidate needs to be extremely detailed oriented, with a strong aptitude for hands on field work, and the ability to direct construction craft labor to complete the plant commissioning work. Candidate need to be able to communicate both verbally and written with management, client and subcontractors to communicate the work completed or work to be completed.

Personnel will develop detailed commissioning plans and procedures to complete the commissioning of equipment and/or systems. All commissioning will be fully documented and tracked to verify the proper execution of all pre-operational testing, initial operation and performance testing. LOTO Manager will be responsible for safety of all personnel working under their direction, all work will be done in a safe manner.

Duties:

- Lead preparatory meeting and communicate the contractual quality requirements to the subcontractors so that quality objectives may be achieved.

- Manage the receiving process for all incoming shipments of materials and equipment ensuring the materials are properly stored and maintained.

- Perform a detailed inspection and review at the beginning of each work phase within the subcontract (concrete application, structural steel erection, coatings application, etc.).

- Perform random inspections according to contract specifications and review quality assurance documents as they are issued.

- Manage a final punch-out inspection process of each system at time of completion.

- Review subcontractor procedures and quality records to verify contract compliance.

- Confirm project documents used at the jobsite are updated, maintained, and stored in accordance with project guidelines.

- Confirm contractual Non-Conformance issues are identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in an acceptable manner.

- Review and analyze the project master punch list for completion.

- Manage weekly quality meetings with client, and subcontractors.

- Responsible for ensuring systems are contractually complete and acceptable prior to being turned over and also prepare the turnover documentation associated with each system.

- Participate in the Task Safety Observations (TSO's) process and define corrective measures for problem areas.

- Comply with all Safety & Health requirements and monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to safety standards.

- Performs other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVE:

High School Diploma/GED (Applicable experience may be substituted for the diploma requirement)

11 years related experience

10+ years managing and implementing quality control procedures

SOFT SKILLS:

Must be detailed oriented.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Strong computer and communications media skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00/hr.
