Low Voltage Field Supervisor
Job Description

Summary

Supervises teams responsible for installations, modifications, repairs, maintenance of voice, data and video cabling systems under direction and supervision of Engagement manager. Works with Engagement Manager to help develop the team, including training new technicians on industry cabling standards. Assist in scheduling and provide QC in the field balancing AM and PM work schedules as needed. Performs job walks as needed to assist pre-sales in developing SOWs and BOMs. Manages tools and materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provides team leadership and assists Operations Managers as needed with employee assessments, feedback, and local requirements.

Works with Project and Operations Managers to manage day-to-day planning, operation and problem-solving to ensure teams meet required level of service.

Participates in scheduling and kick off meetings.

Leads team to perform installation and service of low voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling, communications cabling, communication equipment and other various low voltage related systems such as Category 3, Category 5, Enhanced Category 5, Category 6 and Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution Systems.

Conducts quality control inspections to ensure all cabling and safety standards are being met.

Supervises work in retrofit and new construction environments.

Attends/conducts training and safety meetings as well as operation meetings.

Maintains and references industry standards including ANSI, EIA/TIA, and local BICSI and National Electric Code.

Works closely with the Engagement manager to grow and develop the team. Helps to build a positive culture and assist in training new technicians on industry cabling standards.

Visits jobsites (AM and PM) to perform quality assurance and assists teams as needed. Occasionally performs as lead as necessary.

Performs job walks as needed and works with SA/SE to build a BOM and SOW.

Advises service delivery team to ensure successful implementation of solutions.

Manages Logicalis internal tools and ensure they are available and in good working order.

Keeps abreast of the latest solutions and services Logicalis offers.

Establishes relationships with clients by demonstrating strong listening skills.

Participates in regional and national events and regional team meetings.

Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of Logicalis through performing behaviors consistent with the organization's values.

Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of Logicalis in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behaviors.

Supports and conducts self in a manner consistent with customer service expectations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises employees on field teams. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Experience/Technical Requirements/Certifications

     Equivalent combination accepted.    

Education

Associate degree in related area.

Experience / Technical Requirements  

10 years cabling experience.

Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications.

Certifications

Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Technician or similar certification.

Other Skills or Abilities

Excellent written and verbal skills; confidently and professionally interacts with external clients and internal teams.

Excellent time and prioritization management; multitasks to accommodate requests from multiple customers and Logicalis Account Executives.

Excellent problem solving, decision making, and analytical skills.

Ability to manage complex projects.

Ability to work extended hours including evening/weekend (overtime) as needed.

Ability to be regularly scheduled for on-call status if needed.

Must be able to work safely following company policy/procedures on safety.

Daily travel to work sites along with travel to out of-town work sites.

Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear, easy-to-follow manner.

Ability to translate client requirements into appropriate technology solutions that meet customer business needs.

Ability to act quickly in changing environments.

Participates proactively in own career development.

Salary Compensation Range:  $60,596
