Low Voltage Technician Merrimack, NH 03054 Entry-Level Low Voltage Technician will assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, including telecommunications, security, audio-visual, and network cabling systems. This person will work closely with senior technicians and project leads to ensure systems are installed and maintained to meet client and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: • System Installation: Assist with the installation of low voltage systems, including cabling, connectors, and mounting of hardware for systems such as CCTV, access control, intercoms, fire alarms, and audio-visual equipment. • Cabling and Wiring: Support the pulling, terminating, and testing of cables for data, voice, and video systems, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues with low voltage systems, including diagnosing faults in wiring, equipment, and connections. • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and repairs; complete necessary paperwork and reports as required. • Compliance: Follow industry standards and regulations related to low voltage work, ensuring all installations meet relevant codes and safety guidelines. • Safety Practices: Adhere to safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure job sites are safe and organized. • Tool and Equipment Management: Help maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles used for installations; assist with inventory tracking. • Learning and Development: Participate in on-the-job training and educational opportunities to develop skills in low voltage systems and stay current with industry advancements. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals is beneficial. • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), work on ladders or in confined spaces.
