Low Voltage Technician
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking a dependable and experienced low voltage technician to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for installing and maintaining low voltage systems such as security systems, access control, fire alarms, and more in commercial buildings. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Learn more at https://skilled.peopleready.com/referral/ . **Responsibilities:** + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand the layout of low voltage systems + Plan and organize the routing of wires to ensure efficient installation and connection of various components + Measure, cut, and strip wires to the appropriate length and preparing them for installation + Pull, feed, and secure wires through conduits, raceways, and other pathways according to specifications + Terminate and splice wires using appropriate connectors and tools to establish connections between different components + Test and troubleshoot wiring connections to ensure they meet electrical codes and function properly + Collaborate with other team members, including electricians and project managers to ensure project goals are met + Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe workplace **Qualifications:** + At least 2 years of experience working with low voltage systems including network and security systems + Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics + Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team + Must have your own reliable transportation, PPE, and tools of the trade + Completion of a vocational or technical program in low voltage systems preferred TrueBlue, Inc. and its brands welcome and encourage applications from candidates with disabilities.
