LPN, Ambulatory- Pompton Lakes- Internal Medicine

Responsible Under the supervision of a MD or Registered Nurse, you will provide care to patients in an ambulatory setting
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary health care teams to maintain the standards of professional nursing practices in a clinical setting
2. Collect comprehensive data on patients' health (from patients and/or family members); Analyze data to determine needs.
3. Assisting the physician in treatments and procedures and ensuring that all physician orders are carried out appropriately and timely; work collaboratively with ancillary staff, including Patient Care Assistants
4. Foster effective and patient throughput, delivering excellent customer service, establishing and maintaining an organized professional environment.
5. Integrate patient care standards in all clinical activities; participate in performance improvement activities to improve patient safety, quality of care and patient outcomes
6. Maintain sensitivity and awareness of cultural and religious diversity when addressing patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers
7. Promote a supportive and team-oriented environment
8. Support departmental responsibilities consistent with the long-range strategic plan, mission, vision and values of the hospital
9. Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.
Required:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing required
2. LPN license and registration required
3. BLS certification required
Preferred:
Prior Ambulatory Surgery OR Medical/Surgical experience is required.
Capable of working in a fast- paced environment while maintaining aseptic technique and providing excellent safe patient care.
Strong communicator and advocate for patient safety and AORN standards.
Team oriented and team approach to work task accomplishment and unit functions.
HCAHPS/EPIC knowledge preferred
Specialty knowledge, skills, and abilities may be required based on department/specialty group assigned.
