Responsibilities:

TN functions as part of the healthcare team, using nursing judgment based on knowledge and experience. Participates in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care with focused assessment. Seeks guidance from a licensed nurse when care exceeds scope of practice or skills. Follows UPMC policies, LPN Practice Guidelines, and State Practice Act for care delivery. Acts within LPN guidelines, creates a healing environment, and formulates patient care plans. Communicates effectively with care team members and documents patient information accurately. Focuses on patient safety, quality, and satisfaction through compassionate, patient-centered care. Actively participates in unit activities and assists care team members as needed. Provides education to patients/families for care transitions and supports professional development of new staff. Identifies opportunities for quality improvement, seeks feedback, and collaborates for better patient outcomes.
