As Clinical Assistant, you will assist your fellow LPNS, RNs and other healthcare staff in providing exceptional patient support and attention. This position is a great introduction to the Cleveland Clinic enterprise before exploring further our numerous educational or professional development opportunities. **A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30AM - 4:00PM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Function as a member of the Patient Care Team by utilizing knowledge of nursing theory and disease processes to provide professional nursing care to patients as appropriate. + Provide accurate medication administration and nursing documentation such as medical records, authorization forms and laboratory requisitions. + Implement pain management assessments and documentation. + Recognize changes in patients' status and reports pertinent information to Charge Nurse or Physicians. + Recognize and follow through with nursing intervention. + Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation and files at all times. + Perform patient teaching as needed under the supervision of RN/Physician. + Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO. + Follow Code Blue protocol as per clinic policy. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Program + Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license + Knowledge of Infection Control Practices + Computer literacy Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of clinical experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
