As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Cleveland Clinic, you will provide top-quality patient care to diverse populations of patients under the direction of a registered nurse, physician, optometrist, and/or podiatrist. An LPN in this role is familiar with performing patient care activities, documenting patient care, administering medication, observing patients' health, and maintaining/restocking medical equipment and supplies. **A caregiver in this position works 7:00PM - 7:30AM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Collect, document and report patient data and observations. + Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions. + Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions. + Perform routine laboratory tests. + Educate patients and family members. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing. + Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN M-IV or LPN Meds). + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). + Drug certified by a program approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
