LPN II - Medical/Surgical

HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital is seeking an LPN II to join our Medical/Surgical unit. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

The Licensed Practical Nurse II plays an important role in the clinic setting, performing various clinical and administrative tasks to assist patients through their healthcare journey. LPNs assist in planning and managing patient care according to each patient's needs and furthering the mission of the organization by providing high-quality, respectful care to all.

Position Specifics:

Department: Medical/Surgical (6:1 ratio).  Swing bed population from outside facilities, medical inpatients, New Vision program (medical stabilization of detox from drugs or alcohol), and IV infusion clinic (0-7 people in one day but usually less).  Patients typically require less heavy care and can do more for themselves.  Wonderful team, works well together, and made to feel like familySchedule: Full-Time Nights (36 hours/week; 3x12 schedule) with every other weekend rotationFacility: Good Shepherd HospitalLocation: Shelbyville, ILCompensation that aligns with experience.  Shift differentials for nights and weekend on top of base rate!

Education Qualifications

Completion of State Approved Training Program for Licensed Practical Nurse.LPN License (Pass NCLEX-PN exam)

Experience Qualifications

1 year of License Practical Nursing experience is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Licensed as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of practice is required.

Pay Range:

$23.15 - $34.73

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
