**Job Purpose or Objective(s):** The LPN demonstrates competency to help evaluate, carry out nursing plan of care and discharge of patients per physician orders and policy and procedures and standards of care. You will report to the Unit Manager RN.
**Primary Tasks:**
1. Identify emergent situations and initiates treatment.
2. Participate in departmental quality assessment and improvement activities.
3. Ensure that diagnostic studies are completed as ordered and reviews studies (laboratory values and radiographic results) and reports abnormal results to the provider.
4. Complete health records per clinic policy.
5. Help create the plan of care for other problems or diagnosis as indicated by nursing judgment.
6. Help communicate the assessment and implementation of evaluation activities for health team members in and outside the facility.
7. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
**Required Education and Experience:**
* Current LPN licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing
* Current CPR certification
* Knowledge of recommended practices for geriatric, adult and adolescent patients
* Ability to remain current on professional literature and maintain continuing education requirements
* Participate in student teaching activities
* Ability to uphold nursing services philosophy and goals and contribute to the overall organizational effectiveness
* One year experience in Ambulatory Care or on-the-job training
