LPN Licensed Practical Nurse - Family Medicine
Details Department:  Family Practice Clinic Schedule:  PRN Days.  This associate will work between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday shifts. Hospital:  Ascension Sturgis Hospital, Medical Commons 2 Location: Sturgis, WI

Responsibilities

Provide care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license.

Contribute to the assessment of patients and assure the well-being of patients.Administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services.Educate patients/families about disease treatment plan including self care post discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow up care.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart
Association or American Red Cross accepted.Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience,
if applicable.
Additional Preferences

Medical Assistant:

Responsibilities:

Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

 

Licensed Practical Nurse:

Responsibilities:

Medical Assistant

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Required Credential(s):BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Months (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. 

Education:

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

 

Work Experience:

Some experience as a medical assistant strongly preferred.

 

Clinic LPN
