Spectrum Healthcare Resources along with TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN) in Fayette County, Ohio. The LPN will be providing Correctional Medical care for those housed at the Fayette County Jail at Washington Court House.
Position Highlights:
Full-time, 10 hr shiftsWe staff from 7a-5p (4- 10hr work week / 3- 10hr next week) and every-other weekendAdult population
Job Duties:
Provide a range of medical care to include primary, addiction, urgent and behavioral health careFree from coding, billing, insurance, satisfaction surveys, ICD-10 and DRGSCare is evidence based. We address needs, not wantsVast array of medical pathology that is not seen in any one other healthcare locationWork is socially meaningful as patients are a socially marginalized and lack ordinary access to medical care whether due to lack of insurance, mental illness or homelessness (**for anyone interested in addiction medicine or mental health)Large degree of medical autonomy and free of micromanaging. Extensive nursing guidelines in place.Safer than most other healthcare settings as –weapons are forbidden, controversial inmates dealt with by correctional staff (safety and security takes precedence), inmates are punished for acting out, visits can be stopped at any time and restarted at a later date/time
