Adecco Healthcare is seeking a **Licensed Practical Nurse** to join our client's plasma center as a **Medical Support Specialist** in **Milwaukee, WI** - 53225. **_New Grads are encouraged to apply!_** **Pay** - $31 an hour - **Sign-On Bonus: $3000** **Shift** - 30-40 hours a week - 4x10s, 5x8s, 4x8s, or 4x9s (no less than 4 days week) - Every 2nd or 3rd weekend _Center Hours_ Monday: 11am-7pm Tuesday, 6am-7pm Wednesday, 6am-7pm Thursday, 6am-7pm Friday, 6am-6pm Saturday, 9am-5pm Sunday, 7am-3pm **Qualifications** - Required: LPN License - Required: BLS certification - Preferred: Plasma knowledge - Preferred: Venipuncture skills - New Grads are welcome to apply! **Responsibilities** - You will assess donor eligibility, which includes managing informed consent, providing AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, conducting medical history interviews and acceptance checks, performing physical examinations, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results. - You will assess donor reactions occurring at the facility as specified in the SOPs. Follow the relevant SOPs for medical emergencies, including the implementation of the Center Physician's standing orders and arranging donor transport to emergency care facilities. - Team up with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility. - Champion vaccination Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable. - Master the art of incident management. You will evaluate donor reactions at the facility in accordance with the SOPs.
