If you're ready for a role that values your expertise and offers growth, competitive benefits, and a collaborative team, apply today and be part of a healthcare community where your contributions truly matter! **Responsibilities:** + Exercise sound nursing judgment and competency in patient care. + Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care with a patient-centered approach. + Communicate with RNs and the healthcare team when patient needs exceed LPN scope. + Seek guidance and supervision for new or unfamiliar procedures. + Adhere to UPMC policies, LPN Practice Guidelines, and State Practice Act. + Set daily patient goals and provide holistic care in partnership with patients. + Document patient information comprehensively for clear communication among caregivers. + Educate patients and families on care plans and transitions. + Support and mentor new LPNs and patient care staff. + Actively participate in quality improvement, teamwork, and ongoing professional development. + Completion of IV therapy curriculum within 4 months of hire (if graduated before 2012, must provide proof). + Ability to perform at top of LPN license in Med/Surg/Tele or ED settings. + Knowledge of growth and development principles for age-specific patient care. + Capable of managing multiple priorities and specialized equipment in a complex environment. + Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, and patient positioning; computer skills required.
