*$35 an hour to start*
The primary function of an LPN is to assist with the care of all patients, regardless of age, during their shift. The LPN is responsible for meeting the established standards of skilled nursing practice. The Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates with the care team, participates in interdisciplinary care, and advocates for patients. They effectively provide Person Centered care and services.
ResponsibilitiesTaking the patient's vital signs such as respiration, temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate and reporting changes in the patient's/residents conditionsPracticing ethically and professionally within their scope; advocating for patientsMaintaining clinical competence specific to their care area including organization required education within the stated timeframeCoordinating care with the interdisciplinary teamDocumenting appropriately and thoroughly in EMR/Point Click CareKeeping other nursing personnel and the responsible RN informed regarding changes in the condition of patients/residents and/or other pertinent observationsParticipating in unit councils and staff meetingsEssential SkillsGraduate of a Nursing ProgramCurrent NYS LPN LicenseCPR/BLS certificationAt least 2 years of experienceWork Environment
2 full-time LPN positions are available with multiple shifts.
