Job Description
Join our dynamic Breast Care and Surgery Center team in Florham Park, where you will work closely with skilled surgeons and medical assistants. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on surgical experience while providing compassionate care to breast oncology and breast cancer patients.
ResponsibilitiesManage the nurse visit schedule.Perform suture removal, wound care, and dressing changes.Assist surgeons with ultrasound and biopsy procedures.Gain extensive hands-on surgical experience in the office.Help manage patients in the office alongside medical assistants.Conduct triage and handle nurse buckets.Answer post-op questions and make post-op calls.Assist with radiology biopsies.Work within both the office and radiology departments.Perform stereotactic or mammogram-guided biopsies.Support the surgeon in various tasks.Run patients/assist with procedures 2 ½ days during the week.Spend the other 2 ½ days on triage, buckets, and administrative tasks.Manage approximately 30 patients a day.Collaborate with one other nurse and three medical assistants.Essential SkillsPatient careElectronic medical records (EMR) proficiencyCompletion of a Vocational/Technical School/Diploma Program requiredAssociates degree preferredNJ State LPN Nursing LicenseActive BLS certificationAdditional Skills & QualificationsSurgical experience is a plusOutpatient experience is a plusPassionate about working within breast oncologyFlexible with schedule and willing to work on the floorWork Environment
This role is based in Florham Park and involves a consistent 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional extension to 5:30 PM. The schedule is released weekly. Each doctor is required to work six Saturdays throughout the year, typically scheduled early in the year. The position offers a supportive environment with opportunities for growth and long-term patient relationships.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $39.00
