Job Description
The primary function of an LPN is to assist with the care of all patients, regardless of age, during their shift. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for meeting the established standards of the practice. The LPN collaborates with the care team, participates in interdisciplinary care, and advocates for patients.
ResponsibilitiesTake the patient's vital signs such as respiration, temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate.Report changes in the patient's/residents' conditions.Practice ethically and professionally within their scope and advocate for patients.Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.Document appropriately and thoroughly in EMR/Point Click Care.Keep other nursing personnel and responsible RN informed regarding changes in the condition of patients/residents and other pertinent observations.Participate in unit councils and staff meetings.Essential SkillsGraduate of a Nursing ProgramCurrent NYS LPN LicenseCPR/BLS certificationAt least 2 years of experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in Long Term CareLPN or LVN certificationWork Environment
This position requires 2 full-time LPNs with multiple shifts available. Every other weekend and every other holiday are required. No overtime will be allowed during the assignment. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
