The Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center (with Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus Behavioral Health Services) constitutes a freestanding 100-bed acute care psychiatric facility which provides inpatient and intensive outpatient programs for adults and older adults diagnosed with psychiatric and dual disorders. The LPN is a technical caregiver who administers nursing care under the direct supervision of a registered professional nurse. All methods of practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration. Qualifications: Required: + Graduated from an accredited program of Practical Nursing + Strong communication and organizational skills + Proficient computer skills + Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills + Successful completion of all Orientation Programs Certifications and Licenses Required: + Licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse + BLS certification + Maintains required Heart Saver CPR Certification/course completion status Preferred: + Prior experience in a behavioral health setting helpful Scheduling Requirements: + Per Diem Essential Functions: + Medication administration + Group facilitation + Vital signs + Blood glucose monitoring + Assisting with ADLs + Documentation + Ensuring a safe milieu through safety rounds and 1:1 observation Choosing RWJBarnabas Health!
