+ DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION + The Licensed Practical Nurse supports the nursing process and functions under the direction of the MD/PA. The Licensed Practical Nurse must adhere to policy and procedure for Berkshire Medical Center and Berkshire Faculty Services clinical services. + POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.) + Experience: + Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing + Has a through knowledge of nursing principles and procedures + Experience in handling multiple telephone lines and excellent clerical/organiztional skills required. + Experience in specimen testing and physician office experience preferred. + Education and Training: + Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing + License, Certification & Registration: + Currently licencsed as a practical Nurse in Massachusetts + Must be CPR certified + Other Requirements: + Demonstrates Continuing education in accordance with State regulation. + Data entry skills preferred,Working knowledge of Windows based PC applications required. + Ability to work indepenently and take direction. + Self- motivated and ability to be independent and flexible in a team framework. + Excellent oral and written communication skills, Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
