Our Surgical unit is a 32 bed unit that takes care of wide variety of medical surgical patients. Our primary patient surgery population are neurosurgeries, general abdominal surgeries, thyroidectomies. We provide training for general medical-surgical, Telemetry, & Neurosurgery. We work with interdisciplinary team of medical professionals for the complete patient care. Our Surgical Unit has great teamwork atmosphere and a wonderful place to work, learn and grow. Job Summary Administers nursing care to an assigned group of patients based on phyiscian's orders and nursing care plan. Collaborates with Registered Nurse to plan patient care. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties including data collection. Qualifications Education Completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse. Experience Prefer previous hospital experience. Previous work history reflecting stable employment is necessary. If no work experience, will consider school attendance record and performance. . (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience) Licensure/Certification Current Oklahoma State LPN License or active Multistate LPN License. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training for duration of employment.
